Vladimir McTavish
One of the most popular - and certainly most successful - of modern-day Scottish comedians, Vladimir McTavish is a stunning professional in every sense of the word. Whether using his renowned skills as a top class compere or closing a multi-act bill as a first-rate headline act, Vladimir can adapt to any situation and let his quality shine through.

Vladimir McTavish serves up a delightful feast of social observation and topical satire, seasoned with his caustic wit and presented via a platter of breakneck-pace patter. In addition to his headline appearances throughout the UK Vladimir has also graced the stage in such far flung regions as Ireland, Holland, Cyprus, Kuwait, Holland, Singapore and at the Norwegian Comedy Festival at Stavanger, Norway, and the Aspen Comedy Festival in Colorado, US.

Vladimir has appeared on a number of popular TV and radio shows, including The Empire Laughs Back (BBC1), the football game show We're On Our Way To Wembley (ITV) Velvet Cabaret (BBC Radio Scotland) and the Live Floor Show (BBC Scotland). He 'is nothing short of superb' Scotsman, and 'gleefully indulgent' Guardian.

At the Edinburgh Fringe Vladimir is a regular star of the annual Best of Scottish comedy showcase, and has performed four sell-out solo shows.  The latest of these, The Top 50 Greatest Scots of All Time, Ever!, was a clever and critically acclaimed sideswipe at both today¹s media Œlist¹ culture and at Scotland¹s contemporary self-image.

Equally at home discussing the celebrity status of the Beckhams or the political intricacies of the Scottish elections and equally comfortable as an after-dinner speaker as at a political rally, Vladimir¹s broad range of targets is matched by his broad appeal to all sections of the audience.

'Scotland's top satirical Stand-up' Morning Star
'Gleefully indulgent, highly appealing' Guardian
'Affable and abrasive...nothing short of superb' Scotsman
'lively, sharp and skilful' Time Out
