Kevin Bridges
Kevin started stand up shortly
after his 17th birthday, and had to wait nearly a year before
he could buy a pint after coming off stage. Since his first gig he
has shot through the ranks of the Scottish comedy scene. He
regularly works all over Scotland, most notably at the
Stand
comedy clubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh, where he is now part of
the regular roster.
In his wry deadpan style he brings
out the absurdities in everyday West of Scotland life, with a
range observations worthy of a writer twice his years. Although
a new kid on the comedy block he has been round it several times
in a short successful career.
In 2005 Kevin performed over 150
gigs across Scotland and took his brand of humour throughout the
UK - including London's Kings Head and the Comedy Store -
rapidly proving that his style and wit readily transfer to a
national audience.
A successful Edinburgh Festival
Fringe debut saw Kevin perform in the Stand Comedy Club's
'Best of Scottish comedy'. He staged his own full length stand up
show as part of the Miller
Glasgow International Comedy Festival in March 2006.
Little fazes this young man and his
relaxed confidence led to supporting Scottish TV comedy star
Karen Dunbar in live sold out theatre shows. Kevin has also clocked up several radio and television credits.
